The UK’s Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) has announced that the UK government has accepted its recommendation to revoke the countervailing measure on imports of stainless steel bars and rods from India.

Although finding that subsidized imports would continue if the countervailing measure was no longer applied, the TRA concluded that UK producers would not be harmed by revoking the measure.

The countervailing duties were in the range of 0-4 percent.

In 2022, India was the UK’s third biggest source of the given products.
