According to a report released by the UK's Office for National Statistics (ONS), in November last year the UK's seasonally adjusted production index of manufacturing increased by 1.2 percent compared to November 2015 and was up by 1.3 percent compared to October. According to the ONS, in the September-November period of last year, the country’s seasonally adjusted production index of manufacturing rose by 0.3 percent quarter on quarter and increased by 0.3 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
Meanwhile, in November the production index for basic metals and metal products increased by 0.3 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and was up one percent compared to October. In the September-November period last year, the production index for basic metals and metal products dropped by 0.6 percent compared to the previous quarter and decreased by 0.7 percent compared to the same quarter of 2015.
