According to a report released by the UK's Office for National Statistics (ONS), in December last year the UK's seasonally adjusted production index of manufacturing decreased by 1.7 percent compared to December 2014 and was down by 0.2 percent compared to November. According to the ONS, in 2015 the country’s seasonally adjusted production index of manufacturing fell by 0.2 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in December the production index for basic metals and metal products decreased by 4.4 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and was down 0.7 percent compared to November. In 2015, the production index for basic metals and metal products decreased by 0.1 percent compared to 2014.
