Turkish wire rod exports up 55 percent in Feb over Jan

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in February this year Turkey's total wire rod exports amounted to 106,182 metric tons, increasing by 54.7 percent month on month and up 47.5 percent from February 2011.

Meanwhile, the revenue generated by Turkey's wire rod exports in February totaled $69.4 million, increasing by 41.8 percent year on year and up 54.6 percent compared to the previous month.

On the other hand, in the first two months of 2012 Turkey's wire rod exports stood at 174,837 metric tons, up 38.8 percent year on year, while the total revenue of these exports amounted to $114.25 million, increasing by 37.9 percent as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
