Turkish motor vehicle output up 12% in November over October

In November this year, Turkey's motor vehicle output totaled 113,093 units, remaining unchanged year on year and up 12 percent compared to October, according to the monthly statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Manufacturers' Association (OSD). In the given month, Turkey's passenger car output totaled 69,466 units, up five percent, while commercial vehicle production amounted to 43,627 units, down eight percent, both compared to November 2013.

Meanwhile, in the January-November period of this year, the country's total motor vehicle output amounted 1,049,852 units, increasing by one percent year on year. Passenger car outputin the given period totaled 662,959 units, up 14 percent, while commercial vehicle production stood at 386,893 units, down 16 percent, both year on year.

The overall production capacity utilization rate of the Turkish automotive industry in the first 11 months of this year was 69 percent.
