Turkish motor vehicle output down 10 percent in February

According to the monthly statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Manufacturers' Association (OSD), in February this year Turkey's motor vehicle output totaled 86,834units, down 10 percent year on year.
 
In February of the current year, Turkey's passenger car output totaled 53,250 units, rising 9.1 percent year on year, while small truck production amounted to 24,832 units, down 34.7 percent compared to February 2013.

Meanwhile, in the first two months of this year, the country's total motor vehicle output amounted to 165,278 units, falling 9.9 percent year on year. Passenger car output in the first two months totaled 105,256 units, up 18.4 percent year on year, while commercial vehicle production stood at 52,926 units, down 40 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2013.

The overall production capacity utilization rate of the Turkish automotive industry in February this year was 61 percent, while it stood at 58 percent in the first two months.
