Turkish metal producers’ selling prices up 1 percent in Nov over Oct

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in November this year the producer price index (PPI) for Turkish industry in general dropped by 0.31 percent over October and was up 8.17 percent year on year, while an average rise of 8.27 percent was registered for the latest twelve months.

In November, the PPI for the domestic basic metal industry increased by 0.98 percent month on month and was up 18.39 percent compared to November 2009. Meanwhile, the average increase in the latest twelve months was 16.37 percent.

On the other hand, during the given month, the PPI for domestic manufacture of metal products, except machinery, slightly increased by 0.06 percent over the previous month and was down 0.12 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the sector in question, an average decrease of 0.54 percent in the PPI index was registered in the latest twelve months.
