Turkish home appliance exports up 15.2 percent in June

Demand in the home appliance market in Turkey saw three percent year-on-year growth in June this year, according to the data released by the Turkish Home Appliance Industrialists Association (BESD).

According to the BESD's data, in June home appliance output in Turkey increased by five percent year on year to 1,680,687 units, with a month-on-month decrease of 11.3 percent. In the month in question, Turkey's home appliance exports rose by 15.2 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and were up 8.4 percent compared to May, amounting to 1,431,516 units, while Turkey's domestic appliance imports in June this year totaled 80,225 units, falling by 6.2 percent year on year and up 12 percent compared to May this year.
