Turkey’s steel export volume down 9.6 percent in January-July

In the January-July period this year, Turkey's steel exports decreased by 9.6 percent to 9.76 million mt, while the value of these imports declined by 23.1 percent to $7.04 billion, both year on year, according to the data released by the Turkish Iron and Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).
 
In the given period, Turkey's billet exports totaled 207,000 mt, down 55.1 percent, while flat steel exports amounted to 1.38 million mt, declining by 4.3 percent, both year on year. In the same period, long steel exports totaled 6.05 million mt, down 9.1 percent, while pipe exports decreased by 13.7 percent to 1.01 million mt, all on year-on-year basis.
