According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in the first six months this year Turkey's pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) exports amounted to 58,427 mt, decreasing by 29.82 percent, while the revenue from these exports totaled $53.24 million, down 35.77 percent, both on year-on-year basis.
In June this year, Turkey's PPGI exports decreased by 62.3 percent year on year to 9,617 metric tons. The revenue from these exports amounted to $8.74 million, down 66 percent year on year.
Russia was Turkey's leading PPGI export destination in the January-June period, with imports of 9,244 mt of PPGI from Turkey, down 71.98 percent year on year. In the given period, Russia was followed by Azerbaijan and Bulgaria, with Azerbaijan's PPGI imports from Turkey amounting to 7,514 mt, while Bulgaria received 5,568 mt of PPGI from Turkey in this period.
