In April this year, Turkey's cold rolled coil (CRC) imports totaled 62,701 metric tons, up 8.44 percent month on month and rising by 8.76 percent compared to the same month of 2014, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). The value of these imports was $36.42 million, decreasing by 9.9 percent year on year.
In the January-April period, Turkey's cold rolled coil imports decreased by 9.7 percent to 227,737 mt, while the value of these imports amounted to $139.6 million, falling 19.8 percent, both year on year.
In the January-April period this year, Russia ranked first among Turkey's CRC import sources, supplying 93,175 metric tons, down 11.58 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the given period, Turkey's CRC imports from Ukraine totaled 32,553 metric tons, down 30.06 percent compared to the January-April period of 2014.
