In June this year, Turkey's cold rolled coil (CRC) imports totaled 57,366 metric tons, rising by 11.2 percent compared to the same month of 2014, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). The value of these imports was $30.9 million, decreasing by 12.03 percent year on year.
In the January-June period, Turkey's cold rolled coil imports decreased by 3.5 percent to 340,763 mt, while the value of these imports amounted to $201.63 million, falling 17.3 percent, both year on year.
In the January-June period this year, Russia ranked first among Turkey's CRC import sources, supplying 136,241 metric tons, down 12.74 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the given period, Turkey's CRC imports from Ukraine totaled 56,914 metric tons, down 11.13 percent compared to the January-June period of 2014.
