According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistics Institute (TUIK), Turkey's monthly industrial turnover index in May this year increased by 8.5 percent year on year and decreased by 1.6 percent month on month, following the 1.9 percent month-on-month increase recorded in April.
In May this year, the industrial turnover index for the manufacture of basic metals in Turkey increased by 4.9 percent year on year and moved up by 1.9 percent from the previous month. In April, the industrial turnover index for fabricated metal product manufacturing, except machinery and equipment, in Turkey increased by 8.4 percent year on year and was down 3.6 percent from the previous month.
