Turkey's automotive sales rise slightly in October over September

In October this year, sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Turkey decreased by 3.48 percent year on year and were up by 0.4 percent month on month to 64,255 units, according to the statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Distributors Association (ODD). In the given month, domestic sales of passenger cars in Turkey decreased by 5.63 percent year on year and were up by 1.84 percent month on month to 47,954 units, while sales of light commercial vehicles increased by 3.44 percent year on year and were down by 3.76 percent month on month to 16,301 units.
 
Meanwhile, in the January-October period this year domestic sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles increased by 34.66 percent year on year, amounting to 727,243 units. In the given period, domestic sales of passenger cars in the country increased by 31.44 percent year on year to 548,859 units, while sales of light commercial vehicles rose by 45.63 percent to 178,384 units, both on year-on-year basis.
