Turkey’s steel pipe exports up slightly in Jan-May

According to the statistics provided by Turkey's Steel Exporters' Association (CIB), in May this year Turkey's total steel pipe exports amounted to 126,282 metric tons, decreasing by 14.8 percent year on year and down 17.2 percent compared to April.

In the January-May period of this year Turkey's total steel pipe exports amounted to 734,652 metric tons, rising by 1.24 percent compared to the corresponding period last year. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $688 million, down by three percent compared to January-May 2011.

 

Turkey's steel pipe exports to the US increased 82.7 percent in the first five months of 2012, compared to the same period last year.
