Turkey’s steel export volume down 6.7 percent in 2015

In 2015, Turkey's steel exports decreased by 6.7 percent year on year to 16.8 million mt, according to the data released by the Turkish Iron and Steel Producers' Association (TCUD). In the given year, Turkey's steel pipe exports totaled 1.8 million mt, down 3.3 percent year on year, while semi-finished exports were down 50 percent year on year to 305,000 mt. In 2015, Turkey's long steel exports decreased by 7.2 percent to 10.2 million mt, while its flat steel exports rose by 1.7 percent to 2.54 million mt, both on year-on-year basis.
