In October this year, Turkey's seamless pipe imports amounted to 14,396 metric tons, down 27.2 percent year on year, while the value of these imports totaled $17.83 million, down 22.4 percent year on year, according to the statistics provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
In the January-October period, Turkey's seamless pipe imports decreased by five percent to 194,423 mt, while the value of these imports amounted to $203.6 million, falling 25 percent, both year on year.
In the first ten months, Turkey's seamless pipe imports from China, Turkey's largest seamless pipe import source since 2009, amounted to 128,439 metric tons. China was followed by Ukraine and Germany, with respectively 15,799 metric tons and 13,192 metric tons of seamless pipe exports to Turkey in the given period.
