Turkey's seamless pipe imports down 16.2 percent in January

In January this year, Turkey's seamless pipe imports amounted to 20,589 metric tons, down 16.2 percent year on year and rising by 1.75 percent compared to December 2014, while the value of these imports totaled $20.7 million, down 32.8 percent year on year and declining by 27.8 percent month on month, according to the statistics provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).

In January, Turkey's seamless pipe imports from China, Turkey's largest seamless pipe import source since 2009, amounted to 16,670 metric tons, down 14.02 percent year on year. China was followed by Germany and Ukraine, with respectively 1,371 metric tons and 509 metric tons of seamless pipe exports to Turkey in the given period.
