Turkey's iron ore imports up 74.55 percent in Jan

In January this year Turkey's iron ore imports totaled 508,132 metric tons, decreasing by 45.37 percent compared to December and up 74.55 year on year, while the value of these imports amounted to $73.34 million, down 45.99 percent month on month and up 98.02 percent year on year, according to the statistics provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).


 
In January of the current year, Turkey's iron ore imports from Brazil increased by 348.67 percent year on year to 169,758 mt, while its iron ore imports from Sweden in the given month increased by 0.51 percent to 164,972 mt, both on year-on-year basis.
