Turkey’s IDC receives environmental impact approval for its energy plant

Turkish long steel producer Izmir Demir Celik Sanayi A.S. (IDC) announced on June 21 that the 350 MW energy plant project of its energy producer subsidiary Izdemir Enerji Elektrik Uretim A.S. has received a positive environmental impact assessment.
 
The plant, worth approximately $350 million, will provide the steel producer's energy requirements, as well as supplying energy to the Aliaga region in Izmir, western Turkey.
