Turkey’s HRC imports up 2.4 percent in January-July

In July this year, Turkey’s hot rolled coil (HRC) imports amounted to 310,817 metric tons, down by 27.8 percent compared to the previous month and by 34.3 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue of these imports totaled $234.10 million, declining by 27.4 percent compared to June and by 46.7 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in the January-July period of this year, Turkey’s HRC imports amounted to 2.71 million mt, up by 2.4 percent compared to the same period of last year, while the revenue of these imports totaled $1.87 billion, decreasing by 21.8 percent year on year.
