Turkey’s HRC exports down 35.1 percent in January-August

In August this year, Turkey’s total hot rolled coil (HRC) exports rose by 60.2 percent compared to July and by eight percent year on year to 119,853 mt, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). These exports had a value of $79.66 million, up by 43.2 percent month on month and down by 9.7 percent compared to the same month of 2022.

In the January-August period of this year, Turkey’s HRC exports amounted to 688,531 mt, dropping by 35.1 percent, while the value of these exports fell by 49.6 percent to $506.47 million, both compared to the same period of 2022.
