Turkey’s HR flat steel exports down 20 percent in November

According to the statistics provided by the Istanbul Mineral and Metals Exporters' Association (IMMIB), in November Turkey's total hot rolled flat steel exports amounted to 40,000 metric tons, decreasing by 20 percent year on year and down 70.4 percent month on month. In September, the country's hot rolled flat steel exports had increased by 100.73 percent over August. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $21.4 million, declining by 30.17 percent compared to November 2008 and down 65.39 percent month on month.

On the other hand, in the first eleven months of this year, Turkey's hot rolled flat steel exports rose 13.2 percent year on year to 873,290 mt, totaling a value of $392.86 million, down 46.54 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
