Hascelik, one of Turkey's leading special steel producers and suppliers, has commissioned its second plant located in Gebze TAYSAD Organized Industry Zone in northwestern Turkey. The bright steel plant, in which €30 million has been invested, has come into operation within the scope of Hascelik's program aiming to bring all the regional distribution centers in Turkey together.

Supplying to the automotive, machinery, manufacturing, marine, defense, agricultural machinery and white goods sectors, Hascelik has a hot rolled processing capacity of 200,000 metric tons and cold rolled processing capacity of 250,000 metric tons.

Hascelik managing director Naci Faydasicok underlined that, in line with the 30 percent growth target of the Turkish automotive industry in the next four years, they will make additional investments regarding the finishing lines at their hot rolling and cold processing plants in 2012.

Meanwhile, Hascelik, which ranks 425th on the top 500 Turkish enterprises list released by Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ISO), aims to make it into the top 100 in the coming years.
