Turkey’s cold rolled flat steel imports up 23 percent in Sept over Aug

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in September this year Turkey's cold rolled flat steel imports rose 23.14 percent compared to the previous month, increasing to 62,885 metric tons. The value of these imports amounted to $55.9 million, up 41.33 percent compared to Auguıst this year.

In September, Turkey's cold rolled flat steel imports from Russia amounted to 16,883 metric tons, decreasing by 28.3 percent compared to August this year and accounting for approximately 26.85 percent of the country's total cold rolled flat steel imports. Turkey's second biggest source of cold rolled flat steel imports in September was Ukraina with 10,449 metric tons, increasing by 64.65 percent month on month.

Meanwhile, in the first nine months of this year, Turkey's cold rolled flat steel imports amounted to 450,254 metric tons. Imports from Russia amounted to 178,719 metric tons, accounting for 39.74 percent of the country's total cold rolled flat steel imports, while Turkey's second biggest source of cold rolled flat steel imports, Romania amounted to 74,608 metric tons.
