Turkey’s Cemas posts increased sales and output in 2011

Kirsehir, Turkey-based foundry Cemas Dokum Sanayi AS (Cemas) has posted its consolidated financial and operational results for 2011, reporting a net profit of TRY 3.32 million ($1.84 million).

In 2011, Cemas' sales more than doubled to TRY 76.3 million ($42.5 million) compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, the foundry recorded an operating income of TRY 5.6 million ($3.12 million) for the given period.

In the given year, Cemas' output tonnage amounted to 17,722 mt, up 37.3 percent year on year, while its sales tonnage increased by 29.3 percent to 16,416 mt compared to the previous year.

Founded in 1976, Cemas increased its capacity to 25,000 metric tons in 2009, with new investments (DISA and HWS molding lines), and serves local and international markets with gray and pig iron and sphero casting parts for the automotive, durable goods and machinery industries.
