Turkey's automotive sales up 47.4 percent in November from October

In November this year, sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Turkey increased by 44.6 percent year on year and were up by 47.4 percent month on month to 122,309 units, according to the statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Distributors Association (ODD). In the given month, domestic sales of passenger cars in Turkey increased by 53.5 percent year on year and were up by 50.2 percent month on month to 95,783 units, while sales of light commercial vehicles increased by 19.5 percent year on year and were up by 37.8 percent month on month to 26,526 units.
 
Meanwhile, in the January-November period of this year domestic sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles saw an increase of 3.7 percent year on year, amounting to 841,808 units. In the given period, domestic sales of passenger cars in the country increased by 6.2 percent to 648,894 units, while sales of light commercial vehicles fell by 3.8 percent to 192,914 units, both on year-on-year basis.
