Turkey doubles HR flat steel exports in October over September

According to the statistics provided by the Istanbul Mineral and Metals Exporters' Association (IMMIB), in October Turkey's total hot rolled flat steel exports amounted to 135,220 metric tons, increasing by 22.09 percent year on year and up by 100.73 percent month on month. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $61.82 million, declining by 52.88 percent compared to October 2008 and up 90.87 percent month on month.

On the other hand, in the first ten months of this year, Turkey's hot rolled flat steel exports rose 15.5 percent year on year to 833,265 mt, totaling a value of $371.47 million, down 47.25 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
