Total value of good transported in China up 5.5 percent in Jan-Apr

In the January-April period of the current year, the total value of goods transported by all logistical means in China amounted to RMB 66.3 trillion ($10.7 trillion), up 5.5 percent year on year, with this growth rate 0.1 percentage point lower than that recorded in the first quarter of the current year, as announced by China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) on May 28.

Meanwhile, in the January-April period this year, transportation costs in China were up 3.8 percent year on year, with this increase rate down 0.3 percentage points compared to that recorded in the first quarter of the year.
