Algerian steel producer Tosyalı Algerie, a subsidiary of Turkish steelmaker Tosyalı Holding, has won the natural gas pipe tender of Sonelgaz, an Algerian state-owned electricity and natural gas distribution company, according to media reports.

The pipes of 711 mm x 9.5 mm size to be supplied by Tosyalı Algerie, which is preferred due to its early delivery and competitive price, will be used on the line that Sonelgaz will construct to transmit the natural gas to be used in electricity generation at Sonelgaz’ power plant. Standard API 5L PSL2 quality natural gas pipes with a total length of 70 kilometers will be delivered to Sonelgaz within three months.

The tender in question constitutes Tosyalı Algerie’s first supply of steel pipes in Algeria.
