TMK subsidiary acquires new stainless steel pipe production facility

Russian pipe producer TMK has announced that its subsidiary TMK-INOX, which specializes in supplying stainless steel pipes, has acquired Moscow-based Arina, an electric-welded stainless steel pipe production complex. Following the transaction, TMK-INOX, the leader of the Russian of seamless stainless steel pipes market, will be the largest domestic manufacturer of welded stainless steel pipes.

Given the new production facility, TMK-INOX is now able to produce 8,000 mt of stainless steel pipes of 8-114 mm in diameter per year, for the automotive, food, energy and construction industries.

TMK-INOX has been producing seamless stainless steel pipes since 2011. At the end of 2012, the company shipped around 5,500 mt of seamless stainless steel pipes and launched welded stainless steel pipe production.
