Russian steel pipe producer TMK has announced that it has shipped more than 17,000 mt of large diameter (LD) pipes to Turkmenenergo State Power Corporation of Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Energy to support the construction of a gas supply pipeline to the Mary-3 gas turbine power plant.

The supply included 720 mm longitudinal-welded LD pipes with external corrosion-resistant coating produced at TMK’s Volzhsky Pipe Plant for the construction of a gas supply pipeline to feed the new gas turbine power plant outside Mary in the Karakum Desert in Turkmenistan. The gas pipeline project is pursued as part of the state program to upgrade Turkmenistan’s energy system.
