The Russian pipe producer TMK Group (TMK) has announced the receipt of ISO 9001:2000 certification from the management system assessment company Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) for its quality management system (subsidiaries included).

Accordingly, LRQA has confirmed that TMK's quality management system and processes are implemented at all levels, including product design and development, production, marketing, shipping and servicing, allowing the company to effectively meet customer requirements.

"TMK continues to follow the best global practices in managing its business. Last year, the company completed the implementation of an SAP ERP-based corporate information system and introduced quality management system and processes, and these are now certified by LRQA.  The ISO 9001 certification ensures that all TMK subsidiaries maintain the same high-quality production standards and meet customer satisfaction requirements," TMK's CEO Alexander Shiryaev commented.

TMK is the first pipe company in the CIS to be awarded the ISO 9001 certification.
