TKS, JFE form joint venture in Japan

German steel producer ThyssenKrupp Stahl (TKS) and Japanese steel producer JFE Steel formed a joint venture in Japan in order to enhance their services to Japanese customers. Both companies are equal partners in the new joint venture, called Jevise. Using know-how and technologies developed by TKS, Jevise will offer technical services to car manufacturers. The joint venture builds upon a technology licensing and joint research agreement signed between the two companies in 2002. The purpose of that agreement was to supply high-grade steel to auto industry.
