Tianjin Pipe Corp posts record high in railway steel shipment tonnage

In August this year, Tianjin-based Chinese steel pipe manufacturer Tianjin Pipe Corp. broke its historical record with regard to the monthly shipment of steel products for railway application - the fourth consecutive month it has done so.

Also according to the company statement, in the first half of 2010 the total output of seamless pipes produced by Tianjin Pipe Corp. indicated a year-on-year increase of 7.06 percent compared with the same period of last year when the company's seamless pipe output ranked first in the world. During the first six months of the current year, the company's sales revenue generated from pipe sales was up 49.87 percent compared to H1 2009. Meanwhile, the company also registered month-on-month growth in its profits. On the export side, pipe exports in H1 marked an increase of 34.82 percent year on year in the period under review, maintaining the first place in China's domestic industry.
