On August 8, Thailand's Ministry of Commerce announced the initiation of an antidumping (AD) investigation against the following imported products: coated paper and paper board imported from China, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan and Indonesia; cold rolled coil, galvanized steel and galvalume steel plate originating in China, Taiwan and South Korea; boron-added hot rolled coil from China; and rubber products originating in China used in motorcycles.

Officials at the ministry revealed that the investigation would last for one year. If dumping activity is proved to exist and to have caused damage to the domestic industry, then the Thai government will levy AD duties on these products.
