Thai government considers excluding certain HR steel from AD duties

The local cold rollers such as Thai Cold Rolled Steel Sheet (TCR) and Siam United Steel (SUS) are strongly protesting against the government's decision to include the hot rolled coil for cold rolling into the products covered under the anti-dumping duties. Consequently, the Commerce Ministry in Thailand has promised to work on an arrangement to exclude the imported hot rolled steel that cannot be produced in Thailand locally from the scope of anti-dumping measures. A group set up to execute studies on this issue includes the Foreign Trade Department, SSI, TCR, SUS and automobile and electric goods producers.
