Tervita Corporation announced that it has acquired Columbia Recycle Ltd., a full-service scrap yard located in Kimberley, British Columbia.

Columbia Recycle has been in business in the serviced region since 1975 and is the largest metal recycler in Southeast British Colombia. This will be Tervita’s first metals recycling facility in British Columbia.

Tervita, a leading environmental solutions provider, underwent a recapitalization transaction in late 2016 to strengthen its balance sheet. Since then it has announced new board appointments along with a new CEO and CFO and the strategic objective to diversify lines of business.
