A Tenaris plant in Argentina will supply 2,140 kilometers (1,329 miles) of steel pipe for the construction of a megaproject owned by Argentina’s state-run energy firm Enarsa, Tenaris said this week.

The agreement is part of a new phase of the nation’s northeast gas pipeline (GNEA), which will have 4,131 kilometers (2,566 miles) of extension, according to Tenaris.

The gas pipeline will supply about 11.2 million cubic meters/day of natural gas to 168 municipalities in the northwest region of Argentina.
