Taiwan's iron and steel export value up 5.7% in Jan-Feb

In February this year, the value of Taiwan's iron and steel exports increased by 12.7 percent year on year and decreased by 18.6 percent compared to January to $1.29 billion, according to the preliminary statistics issued by Taiwan's Ministry of Finance. In the same month, the country's iron and steel import value totaled $837 million, down 0.6 percent year on year and increasing by 2.5 percent month on month.
 
In the first two months of this year, the value of Taiwan's iron and steel exports was up 5.7 percent to $2.83 billion, while the value of the country's imports of iron and steel totaled $1.66 billion, down 15.2 percent, both on year-on year basis.
