In December last year, Taiwan's basic metal and basic metal product export orders amounted to $2.53 billion, up 5.5 percent compared to November and increasing by 1.8 percent compared to December 2012, according to Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs. The country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders were down 3.4 percent and up 0.3 percent in November and October respectively, both on year-on-year basis.
On the other hand, the country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders in 2013 amounted to a value of $27.44 billion, falling by 4.4 percent compared to 2012.
