According to the statistics released by the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs, in December last year Taiwan's basic metal and basic metal product export orders amounted to $1.93 billion, down 20.7 percent compared to December 2014 and increasing by 3.8 percent compared to the previous month. In November, Taiwan’s basic metal and basic metal product orders had recorded an eight percent drop month on month.
In 2015, the country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders declined by 15.4 percent year on year to $24.14 billion.
