Taiwan imports 2.95 million mt of scrap in H1

According to Taiwanese sources, the country imported 2.95 million metric tons of scrap in the first half of 2007, up 11.3 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

It is predicted that the total scrap imports during 2007 will reach 5.058 million metric tons, which would mark a new record for Taiwan's annual scrap imports.
