SUEK to extract 36.7 million mt of coal in Kuzbass in 2015

Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK), Russia's largest coal producing corporation, has announced the signing of agreement with the government of the Kemerovo region of Russia.

Planning to extract 36.7 million mt of coal in 2015 in Kuzbass, Russia's biggest coal-mining region, the company will increase the volume by 3.6 million mt of coal compared to 2014. In 2014, the company produced 33.1 million mt of coal in Kuzbass, up 500,000 mt compared to 2013.

 The company plans to invest RUB 17.5 billion ($0.308 billion) in the development of enterprises, including investment of about RUB 14 billion ($0.246 billion) in the coal sector.
