SUEK produces 98.9 million mt of coal in 2014

Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK), Russia's largest coal producing corporation, has announced that it produced 98.9 million mt of coal in 2014, up two percent compared to 2013.

In 2014, SUEK's sales volume rose by three percent year on year to 95.4 million mt of coal. Its coal sales to the international market rose by eight percent year on year to 45.6 million mt. Its major international markets are the UK, China, South Korea, Japan, the Netherlands, Taiwan and Germany.

49.8 million mt of coal was sold to consumers in Russia in 2014, down one percent year on year, with 37.7 million mt of this volume shipped to electric power-generating facilities.
