Stocks of main finished steel products in China down 5.8% in late May

On May 31 this year, overall domestic inventories of the five main finished steel products in 21 major cities in China totaled 10.31 million mt, down 630,000 mt or 5.8 percent compared to May 20, as announced by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).

In particular, as of May 31, domestic inventory of hot rolled coil (HRC), cold rolled coil (CRC), common medium palate, wire rod and rebar amounted to 2.02 million mt, 1.19 million mt, 950,000 mt, 1.26 million mt and 4.89 million mt, decreasing by 3.8 percent, 0.8 percent, 2.1 percent, 10.0 percent and 7.2 percent, respectively, all compared to May 20
