The municipal government of Tangshan in China’s Hebei Province has announced that it will issue a level-three pollution early warning from April 22 to April 26 ahead of the Tangshan International Horticultural Exposition which starts on April 29.

In addition, steel rolling plants in Tangshan city will initiate production limitations between 8 a.m and 4 p.m as of April 22 and continuing for the period of the Tangshan International Horticulture Exposition (April 29-October 16), which will likely result in slack demand for steel billet and exert negative pressure on steel billet prices. It is thought that steel billet prices will likely follow a soft trend during the Tangshan International Horticultural Exposition.
