The Indian steel rim producer Steel Strips Wheels Ltd (
SSWL) has announced that it registered net sales of INR 1.01 billion ($15 million) in August, increasing by 5.75 percent compared to the corresponding month of 2012.
In terms of units sold, in August
SSWL sold 971,000 steel wheel rims, up by 16 percent compared to the same month of 2012, achieving the highest-ever monthly sales total. In the given month, the company's wheel rim exports increased to 179,940, up 140 percent year on year.
