South Korea’s Husteel to build new OCTG plant in Texas

France-based machine industry company Fives Group has announced that it has signed a contract with South-Korea based Husteel to supply equipment and provide engineering services for the latter’s OCTG plant to be built in Texas, the US.

Husteel will be able to produce pipe with a diameter between 60-114 mm and a wall thickness of up to 10 mm at the new plant with an investment of $122 million.

The production at the new plant is expected to start in 2025.
