South Korea’s exports of steel castings and forgings surge in H1

South Korea's exports of steel castings and forgings totaled 331,818 mt in the first half of the current year, up 10.7 percent from 296,329 mt, according to data from the Korea Iron and Steel Association (KOSA).

Meanwhile, South Korea's imports of steel castings and forgings in the first half of this year increased 3.6 percent year on year to 267,596 mt.
 
In the first half of the year, Japan imported 60,864 mt of steel castings and forgings from South Korea, becoming the largest destination for South Korean exports of these products, followed by China and Mongolia with 44,655 mt and 40,313 mt respectively.
